Empowering Women Through Literacy

Adult Literacy Classes

Adult illiteracy remains a persistent challenge in Port Loko City, limiting citizens’ ability to participate meaningfully in civic life, access economic opportunities, and make informed decisions. Many female adults lack basic reading, writing, and numeracy skills, which directly affects community development and their democratic participation to nation development.

Sierra Leone Media Educators (SLeME) proposes an Adult Literacy and Civics Education Program aimed at equipping 60 female adults in Port Loko city with functional literacy skills while strengthening their civic awareness, rights consciousness, and participation in democratic processes.

Project Goal

To improve functional literacy and civic competence among female adults in Port Loko City, enabling them to participate in social, economic, and democratic life actively.

Project 2 Hold My Hand

Join us in our mission to support children in need education. Through our projects, we provide learning materials, fees, uniforms, medical assistance for children in need to help them access to quality education and pursue their goals and build a better future.
